Founded in 1956 through the vision of Prince Alberto Dimitri Kunz d’Asburgo Lorena, the Castello del Tegolato estate is deeply rooted in history. It was the Prince who planted the first vineyards and created “Tegolato,” a prestigious historic wine crafted through unique production techniques.
Today, the estate preserves this precious heritage, driven by the same pursuit of perfection across its entire wine selection. The winery’s philosophy is reflected in every glass through three core values: territorial expression, a balance between heritage and innovation, and rigorous quality.

LEVRIERO – Toscana Igt
Merlot, Sangiovese – The grapes, once fully ripe, are harvested entirely by hand and undergo a long maceration process with skin contact. The wine is then aged in oak barrels
Riserva
CHIANTI Docg
Sangiovese e Canaiolo – Once the grapes have reached optimum ripeness, they are harvested entirely by hand and subjected to maceration in contact with the skins.
MARIO COBUCCIO – Chianti Docg Riserva
Sangiovese -Once ripe, the grapes are harvested entirely by hand and subjected to a long fermentation in contact with the skins – Aged for three years in oak barrels
TEGOLATO – Toscana Igt
In years when favorable seasonal conditions give the grapes all the characteristics needed to produce a wine with a high alcohol content, robust construction, and particularly long-lasting aging potential, Tegolato wine is produced.

Fantastic place for a dream wedding but also for a quiet escape. The owners are some of the most beautiful human beings i have ever met. The care and the details they looked after on any single accomodations are amazing. Can’t wait to go back and have a swim on their heated pool and relax by drinking their prestigious wine.

Struttura ricettiva veramente incantevole. Propone Degustazioni aperte al pubblico da poco tempo e producono vini veramente pregiati. Abbiamo bevuto Chianti ed un igt riserva il levriero, spettacolare. Il tutto abbinato ad assaggi del loro Olio e pane appena sfornato.

Tuscan paradise
Sharing our Tenuta Tegolato experience brings a mixed feeling. On the one hand, this place is simply amazing. On the other hand, it feels like such a hidden gem which should be kept secret to the masses.
Tenuta grows and bottles their own wines. We had a tasting, arranged by Doreen. Great wines, finger food and talks about the history of the vineyard and wines.
Overall one of our best holiday experiences. Next year we’ll be back 🙂

The 5 stars are just not enough, I would give it 10. Everything is perfect, the location, the apartment, the big pool and spa area. It feels unreal, like being in a movie.. Even from the first impression, the rusty gates open and you’re suddenly in a new world.
The owners are very nice and talkative, and you can see how much love they’ve put into the place. The rustic furniture, the exposed bricks and beams, each window with a specatular view, everything just belongs perfectly.
This place is much more than I imagined, and I’m really looking forward to staying here again!

Tenuta Tegolato is een heerlijk rustig plekje, waar je heerlijk kan onthaasten.
Een geweldige tuin met een heerlijk groot zwembad, waar elk appartement z’n eigen ligstoelen heeft + parasol. Ons appartement op de begane grond (Lebbio) was mooi ingericht en voldeed aan al onze wensen.
Doreen heeft ons super ontvangen en het hele terrein laten zien.
Wij geven 5 sterren omdat we een hele fijne tijd hebben gehad hier, het weer was hier ook debet aan (30-35 graden en ☀️)
Zeker een aanrader!!

Vi var på ferie i Toscana, hvor vi havde 6 vidunderlige dage på fantastiske Tenuta Tegolato☀️ Værelserne var flot designet i flot italiensk stil med comfort. Omgivelserne var utrolig smukke med stor pool, jacuzzi og sauna. Doreen var en vidunderlig vært🤩Vi kan klart anbefale Tenuta Tegolato!

Perfection. The grounds are beautiful, the view stunning. Everything is new and immaculately maintained. The apartments are spacious and comfortable. Anthony and Doreen really know what they’re doing—they’ve thought of every detail for the comfort of their guests and go above and beyond with personal service. We will absolutely be back!

We stayed 5 nights at Tenuta Tegolato Luxury Apartments with our 1,5y son and we absolutely loved it! It is the perfect place to stay near San Gimignano and very close to Siena, Volterra and Florence! The hosts are absolutely lovely and nothing is too much trouble for them, the apartment and kitchen was equipped with everything you need, the beds were comfy and everything was spotless clean. The pool area is definitely a highlight of the estate with an amazing view over the tuscan hills! They even do their own chianti wine, which you have to try when staying there!
Everything was excellent. If your going to Tuscany check Tenuta Tegolato apartments out first! Would 100% recommend to friends and family.
