The company “La Roccaia” is a picturesque Tuscan vineyard in San Gimignano, with deep roots in the winemaking tradition.
Currently, Franco Ricci, winemaker, represents the third generation and manages “La Roccaia” on his own.
To fully understand the Ricci family values, we must take a trip back to 1950, when Franco’s grandfather, Nazzareno Ricci, and after him his father Antonio, decided to start a business that would keep them close to the territory and to nature.
After obtaining his wine technician degree in 1984, Franco entered the world of wine as well and gained great experience at a large company in San Gimignano.
The experience he acquired led him to a conscious autonomy in the management of a winery, which over the years has undergone a gradual evolution, up until the current moment, where it counts 30 hectares of vineyards and other crops.
This expansion has given life to a modern structure, equipped with a spacious terrace from which you can admire the vineyards and towers of San Gimignano, while enjoying a good glass of wine.

The tasting consists of a small company presentation followed by the tasting of our Vernaccia di San Gimignano and Chianti Colli Senesi.
In addition, there will be a short visit to the cellar and the opportunity to admire the vineyards and the Towers of San Gimignano from the spacious terrace above.
Each person will be entitled to a free bottle.
