Tenuta Buon Tempo lies in the extreme south of the Montalcino zone, surrounded by breathtaking countryside.
The estate is in fact ‘embraced’ by the mountain range of the Tuscan Anti-Apennines (in which Monte Amiata towers above the rest) and by the Orcia river, the southern border of the Brunello appellation. Behind it lies the hill of Montalcino.
The absolute tranquility and sense of wellbeing felt by the current owners inspired them when choosing a name for it: it simply had to be called “Tenuta Buon Tempo”.
OUR TASTINGS
I VINI – 30min – € 20pp
It will take place in our tasting room, surrounded by the vineyards. The focus will be on the story behind our wines and the estate’s distinctive traits.
We will taste the Rosso di Montalcino and our Brunello. The tasting will be accompanied by bread and oil from the olive trees surrounding the estate.
LA VIGNA – 1h 30min – € 45pp
We will immerse ourselves in nature, observing the soil and the vines’ vegetative stage, and then visit the cellar, concluding with a tasting of four wines, exploring the characteristics of each one in depth.
The tasting includes a walk through the vineyards. We will tell the story of the terroir, drawing inspiration from the landscape surrounding the estate. We will immerse ourselves in nature, observing the soil and the vines’ vegetative stage, and finally visit the cellar.
We will conclude with a tasting of four wines, exploring the characteristics of each one in depth. The tasting will be accompanied by bread and oil from the olive trees surrounding the estate.
IL LECCIO – 2h – € 60pp
e will meet at the entrance of the vineyard from which we select the grapes for the estate’s flagship wine: “il Leccio, p.56”.
We will explore the connection between wine and terroir before heading to the cellar and the barrel room. We will taste four bottles from different vintages, all from the eponymous vineyard “p.56”.

This winery is not enormous, but it is impressive and the wines are tremendous. The Rosso is a fabulous, well priced, ‘ready to drink’ 100% Sangiovese marvel and the Brunellos just get better. They are all outstanding examples of the great wines from that region!
