Villa di Geggiano has been owned by the Boscu Bianchi Bandinelli family, historically one of the most important families in the Siena area, since 1527. The villa was completely restored in the 18th century and still retains all its original furnishings.
In 1995, the villa was featured in Bernardo Bertolucci’s film Stealing Beauty, starring Oscar winner Jeremy Irons and Liv Tyler. Every year, it has welcomed visitors from around the world to celebrate the beauty of Tuscany and its quality products.
Quality wine production at the villa began in 1725. It was then that family member Niccolò Bandinelli began experimenting with the production of superior wines suitable for export.
After 300 years, the tradition of winemaking at the villa continues, following organic and sustainable agronomic and oenological practices and paying close attention to quality.
The production aims to express the refinement and elegance of Tuscan Sangiovese in the most natural way possible.

A unique experience for small groups of 12-20 guests, with an aperitif served at sunset in the villa’s garden and a guided tour of the interior and winery.
Guests are welcomed and guided through the experience directly by the owners.
The aperitif is served by a waiter in the villa’s garden.
OUR PRODUCTS
BANDINELLO
Wine made from the estate’s youngest Sangiovese vineyards with the addition of grapes from older Syrah and Ciliegiolo vines. A wine with less structure and greater drinkability and freshness. Minimal use of sulfites. A versatile wine to serve with aperitifs and traditional Tuscan dishes.
CHIANTI CLASSICO
The Chianti Classico Villa di Geggiano expresses the power and freshness of the estate’s Sangiovese vineyards. Made from perfectly ripe grapes from three different estate crus. Excellent paired with traditional Tuscan dishes. Great persistence and aging potential.
CHIANTI CLASSICO RISERVA
A more structured and complex wine. Made from the estate’s finest grapes. The grapes are concentrated and create a complex, rich, and structured wine with long aging potential. It pairs well with game, roasts, Florentine steak, lamb, or strong cheeses. It is produced from an old Sangiovese cru with a small but distinctive addition of Cabernet Sauvignon.

My girlfriend and I went to Villa de Geggiano and we had an amazing experience.
Andrea told us everything there is to know about the vineyard, the process of making wine and the beautiful garden. We went home with a bottle of Classico and it tasted just like we expected, delicious!

A place of peace and silence at the gates of Siena, a historic villa unique in its kind, the wonder and enchantment that it hides is announced already at the entrance with a magnificent avenue of holm oaks. The greenery theater and the vegetable garden are fantastic, but the interior of the house is truly exceptional. There are frescoes, furnishings and original objects from the 18th century, if you close your eyes you imagine women with wide skirts and lace with fans and gentlemen who talk about hunting and smoke cigars. A daydream, there is a redundancy and meticulous attention to detail that strikes and excites the visitor. THE GREEN ROOM and Vittorio Alfieri’s ROOM are my favorites. A rare pearl in the heart of Chianti. A unique heritage. Absolutely worth visiting.

One of the most amazing places! A real piece of history. It feels like you’re in the Versailles of Tuscany. The frescos inside are incredible. Who needs museums when you’ve got this.

My husband and I had our wedding at Villa di Geggiano in July 2024, and it was truly a magical experience. Bianca helped us with all the details and was very responsive. It was surprisingly easy to plan everything from a different country as I am in Canada and the villa in Italy. They always accommodated me for the time difference, and were so helpful throughout the whole process.
