Il Palagione rises on the top of this hill. The winery is an ancient farm, dated back to 1594 It’s an enchanted place, where time since to have stopped and where love and care for nature are the values Giorgio and his family base they work on.
The family management and the strictly organic production of Tuscan excellences, such as Vernaccia di San Gimignano, Chianti dei Colli Senesi and extra virgin olive oil, are the most authentic welcome of our cellar.

We had a wine tasting at this beautiful family run winery and tried 4 local wines. Davide was extremely knowledgeable and told us lots of information about the process of making each of the wines we tried (and he speaks great English!) The tasting was accompanied by a selection of cheeses and meats and we got to try their olive oil which is delicious. I highly recommend this experience to everyone!

Today a friend and I decided to do the unlimited wine tasting at Il Palagione in San Gimignano. The unlimited tasting experience consisted of trying six different wines, a selection of meats and cheeses, olive oil, and more for an incredibly reasonable price and incredible service. Davide and Giorgio were extremely welcoming and knowledgeable. We even got a tour of the wine cellars which was a very cool experience! Overall, we had an amazing time and I will definitely be coming back sometime soon! I would highly recommend Il Palagione to anyone looking for a great wine tasting experence in the Tuscany region.

Wir waren für 7 Tage hier,super schöne Anlage sehr sauber und ruhig.Giorgo und Monica die Inhaber waren stets bemüht und zuvorkommend. Sie hatten immer gute Tips für Ausflüge. Frühstück war ausreichend und gut.Zum weiterempfehlen. Danke Giorgo und Monica für alles.

Visited this place for Wine tasting experience. I was completely satisfied. One person in our group was a vegetarian so they arranged vegetarian food aswell/veggies. Bought few bottles of wine but I really regret not buying the olive oil that I tasted.
The hosts were very kind and knowledgeable. Overall I had great experience.

Absolutely beautiful: a spectacular view and spacious bedroom, “right at home” service, a range of from-the-property wines, and elegance throughout. I could not recommend staying here more! It was likely the greatest night’s sleep I’ve had this year so far.

Auf unserer Toskana- Rundreise mit dem Vespa-Roller war das Il Palagione DAS Highlight. Die vollen 5 Sterne in allen Kategorien. Die Zimmer sind wirklich sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Alte Tradition und moderne perfekt miteinander kombiniert. Das Frühstück ist hervorragend und die Gastgeber großartig. Wir sind dankbar diesen tollen Ort und die Gastgeber ein Stück weit kennengelernt haben zu dürfen und würden immer wieder hier übernachten und auch Frühstücken wollen.
